WordPress is one of the famous Open source blog software. There are many premium theme, plugin service providers across internet. Today few of their servers are under heavy DDos attack and its confirmed by Theme-Junkie Owner, Roy. As per his email to all his subscribers, Themejunkie, Woothemes, and Templatic are under DDOS Attack and server administrators are working hard to trace back and solve this issue.

It appears like there is a server related exploit that let the attackers to cause this DDOS attack.

Theme Junkie is now under a heavy DDoS attack since 6 Dec, the attack haven’t stop till now. We don’t know who is attacking, but we know other theme providers (WooThemes, Templatic, etc.) are under attack as well. We are still working with the hosting guys to make sure eveything could work smothly again asap, sorry for inconvenience.

If you need theme support in urgent, please drop us an email: info@wp-junkie.com

Whois Lookup using Active Whois Tool

ActiveWhois is an easy-to-use network tool you can use to find any information about the owners of IP address or Internet domain. You can determine the country, personal and postal addresses of owner, and/or user of IP address and domains. This cutting-edge technology allows ActiveWhois users to explore DNS aliases as well as simultaneously display both the domain and IP address information. Unlike other WHOIS clients, Active Whois does not require special skills to determine the desired information. Its unique WHOIS-hyperlink feature allows you to explore domain databases easily as browsing the web.

When a search is completed, the following reports will be displayed:

  • DNS Records – A DNS i.e. “Domain Name System” resolves individual host names to their corresponding IP addresses. A computer on the Internet configured as a host may actually resolve to several IP addresses and host names. ActiveWhois displays all records occurring in the DNS with their full domain names and IP address aliases. In addition, Active Whois attempts to trace these aliases back to their original DNS results. The connection speed between you and the lookup target is made available by the built-in Ping feature.
  • Domain Owner – This report displays information about the domain holder i.e. “registrant“. In addition, information is included here about TLD (Top Level Domain) with a link to the domain registrar and the name of the country.
  • IP Address – Each IP address is assigned to an individual or an organization. Occasionally, it may totally differ from the domain owner. Typically, small sites use IPs assigned to their hosting company or network provider, so this information can help you to determine the physical location of the website or remote computer.
  • HTTP Headers – Shows HTTP(Hyper Text Transfer Protocol) headers. It allows you determine web server software, date the document was created, and so on.

How to Hide Hard Disk Partitions in Windows ?

Want to hide your hard disk partition fully in windows operating system ? There is a command available to do this task. It is “diskpart” command which needs to be used in command prompt to get the job done. This technique works only in windows operating systems.

Using this command you can hide the hard disk volumes such as C:\ ,D:\, E:\. Here is the step by step method to carry over it.

1.Type “diskpart” in run command box without quotes. (A command window will get opened)

2.Then type “list volume“. (Your hard disk partitioned volumes will be listed)

3.Now type “select volume <volume number>” – (Volume number is the numeric variable which is shown in the volume listing)

4.Type “remove letter <volume letter> – (Volume letter is the alphabetic character of the drive such as C,D,E,F…Z)

Thus your hard disk partition is hidden. If you need to resume it then follow the first three steps as usual and

in the fourth step replace “remove” with “assign“. I hope this technique helps.

[fbdata.torrent] 100 Million Facebook Users Data Leaked via Torrent to Download

Facebook seems to have some serious security vulnerabilities that is yet to be patched. Today the Skull Security Team, has released a torrent file that consist of 100 million facebook users profile data.

A security researcher on Wednesday released a file containing the names, profile addresses and unique identification numbers of more than 100 million Facebook users.

The information was corralled via a public directory Facebook makes available that lists users who are sharing at least some of their profile information with everyone on the Internet. It was collected and uploaded by Ron Bowes, a security researcher with Skull Security.

Although the information in the file is freely available online through search engines and Facebook’s own directory, the organized list of names and identification numbers in it could make it easier for others to compile users’ e-mail addresses, location or other data they have made available. The 2.8-gigabyte BitTorrent file also includes the programming code that Mr. Bowes used to scan the directory list.
