Online Jobs – Identifying Scammers

Written by Robin on November 29, 2008 Categories: Articles, Scammers DB Tags: benefit fraud, click fraud, Confidence trick, Data Entry Job, data entry pro scam, dating scammers, Driver's license, email hacker, ethical hacker, Fraud, fraud antivirus, fraud protection, google, hacking, identity fraud, identity theft, monavie scam, North America, scam email, Security, tax fraud, theft

Work at Home , Data Entry Jobs, Make money from home, Typing work from Home, Online Part time jobs, and i must also include another commonly used Google string “Data Entry Jobs” . Ofcourse, every one likes to earn money online by investing less money, electricity, internet and their precious time. However the success ratio is very less. Its all because of Scammers. Many people afraid about internet job due to the increase of scammers these days. So what can we do to identify the scammers to get rid off these fears ? That is what we will be discussing here now. I found few websites which acts as a database to gather some review(positive as well as negative) about the Online Job Providers. Simply by giving their web address in the search bar of the webpage we can get the users feedbacks and reviews about them.

Alright, the first Tool we will see here is RipOffReport.com (Dont let them get away with it.. Let the TRUTH be know):

RipoffReport is a website which i found as a daily updated one to maintain the scammer profile and related information. This website also contains latest news that across the globe that is related to Scams. They have the good site slogan too ;) . I highlighted it in the title here within brackets.

If you like to file a complaint against any Online Job provider then you must be a registered user of RipoffReport.com. To search for a Scam Website its not must to be a Registered user. Simply enter the website address or the name of the person who believe may be a scammer in the search box of the website available in the Top Right corner. This website also gives some video recorded consumer voices to all the visitors in the way of reporting as well as to tell them some valuable reviews.

Better Business Bureau (Start with Trust):

BBB is a site that help us to file a complaint against fraudsters and Scammers. I feel this site suits well for US Citizens. A Frequent updated Records can be viewed here. At present they have updated the record with entire North America to help finding more trust full jobs and charities near to you.

I will update few more websites with similar scammer and fraudster identifying databases after few days. The above two sites will help you to identify  whether the Data Entry Job provider or any type of online job provider to earn money is a scammer or a fraud. So lets see how to deal with the people who send Scam in mails.

Scam Mails:

A very annoying and irritating mail for many people. Because they literally shows itself like an original email and the information in it are true (“You’ve Won a Prize!” Lottery Scam”). Ofcourse, its not. First we must know there is no one in the world is ready to give money through cheque or cash free to the person who he/she never met or knew. Its all the game played with people’s greediness. (Hard Earned money will always be with us, where the money which comes in the Air simply goes in the same way it comes). The Scammer actually sends thousands of email and simply wait for the reply from any of them.

You must think and reply to that email if you been to that place atleast once in your lifetime or you know some one from that place. Once you sent the reply, there will be a prompt reply within few minutes or in an hours with the next step of process to transfer the money to your account or some times to process your cheque as mentioned in the previous email. And this is not just easier as said in the first email. You need to send them a processing fee that depends on the scammer choice. Once he/she received it they will call you to your mobile with the details provided by you in the email as a confirmation. They probably use their internet phone to call the victim and to hide their real identity as well. The call usually come from a 3,4 or 5 digit numbers.

After getting some 2 % or 5 %(some times) of money from you as a Tax or whatever it is, they will disappear. you cannot reach them through phone or email from that moment.

If you or any of your friend had such experience, do report it in the above websites so that the others who are yet to be victimised by those scammers can be saved.

If Victimized, what should i do ?

Alright, if you sent your Driving License, Photo, with some Original ID or Address Details, dont be panic after reading all these. Immediately move to your nearest cyber crime cell office probably a police station and file a complaint or ask for the help by explaining all the situation you did come across with. If there is any local people involvement in the entire scamming process then they will try to catch them to find their network. else a complaint filed in the station will help you to get rid off any future problems that could be arised by the scammer by misusing your photograph and identity proofs.

A best site i came across with to find Nigerian Email Scams . The site that tells you how to Fight  against Identity Theft . Another important website that acts as an Archive for Email Scams is Scamdex . You can find a huge list of scam emails received by many people across the globe and you are also allowed to update the scam email you received.

This is first part of my article. I will be writing more related to this title in coming days too. All i need is Positive as well as Negative Feedbacks from you. Please rate this article and let me improve my writing as well as corrections need to be done. Thank you very much for spending this much time to read this article :) .
