geemail Sourcebits, a famous application developers in Mac and Adobe AIR Platform, recently launched their Geemail tool that runs through Adobe AIR. The software gives a very easy interface and navigation. Zero Configuration(Adobe AIR Application must be already installed in order to Run Geemail), Offline Email Sending (You may send an email when no internet connection is present, and it will automatically sent once the internet connection detected.), Same Gmail Interface, Absolute Cross Platform (It is available for Linux, Mac and Windows Operating Systems). Users who work in different platform can also use this without loosing their data.

Alright, my question is the security of Geemail. The login prompt which displayed by the Geemail appears like Gmail Login area and that creates a little spark in my mind to think about the security before entering my login credentials. This application is not yet approved by Gmail. Hence users who are very much conscious about security may wait for a while. This application surely rocks in my view, but security matters !.

post about nothing. of course you need to provide your google credentials to access gmail, and of course standalone AIR app will have custom login form. if you are so concerned, unzip .air file, and take any swf decompiler to watch how this app communicates with internet. you may also try charles proxy, this will allow you to sniff traffic for this app.
  • Hi @LP, Thanks for your comment. And this is just a basic info for beginners. :) And you explained the detail very well.
